A CNC-carved nightjar that sings

NightJar.Gift

A wooden nightjar with a button on its back: hold it and the bird sings its churring night call, let go and it sleeps. CAD model, CNC toolpaths, board v1 to v8 and the promo site, all in the open.

NightJar.Gift is the project that sums up this portfolio: a 3D model becomes toolpaths, toolpaths become two halves of beech, and a circuit with no microcontroller and no firmware sits inside. It is built for the course Systems Thinking in IT and Digital Fabrication at FIIT STU. Every board revision, dead end and fix is documented.
