Find A Cat: Bachelor thesis
This is my Bachelor thesis in Computer Science, more specifically Informatics, written at the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. It has also been made available on CRZP.sk, the Central Registry of Final Theses of the Slovak Republic.
Annotation
Animal database providers like PawPeds, Omakissa or Sverak currently utilise limited software and hardware environments due to their financing options and commercial viability. These limitations force them to use web-hosting services for the operation of their evidence systems and the management of datasets, instead of more suitable offerings like virtual machines. Because societal and managerial interest exists in the processed data, we apply exploratory data analysis techniques to look for new ways to conceptualise and implement a more suitable evidence system with regard to modularity, algorithmic feasibility, user experience, data exchangeability and future-proofing.

The thesis covers the following chapters:
- Analysis (20 pages): initial considerations; interested parties and their needs; dataset readiness and algorithms; database systems; conclusion of the analysis
- Conceptualization (14 pages): project goals and requirements; obstacles; the Model View Controller pattern; major changes; algorithms and data processing; Laravel
- Implementation (32 pages): the inherited project; migrations; algorithms; data processing; Docker image; testing; expansion potential
- Conclusion (4 pages)
- Resume (a short transcription of the thesis in my native language, 14 pages)
